I am certain of nothing but the holiness of the hearts affections and the truth of the imagination – John Keats

Nottingham Art Therapy, Integrated Therapy and Counselling, Supervision and Consultation

Hello and Welcome

“What do I want from life?”

“What do I need from life?”

“How can I feel better in myself?”

“How can I be rid of unwanted thoughts, feelings and symptoms?”

“How can I have better relationships and quality of life?”

“How can I find more meaning and creativity in life?”

If the questions above are some you find yourself asking then art therapy / psychotherapy, integrative therapy or counselling may help you find answers to them

Are you living the life you want? Are thoughts, feelings, symptoms, experiences, or memories preventing you from doing so?

There are many different reasons why your and others lives are not how they would like them. Often it is because of both past and present circumstances and experiences that leave you troubled by thoughts, feelings and symptoms. You have probably done everything you feel you can to improve your life but feel you need some extra help now. I have more than 20 years psychotherapy experience so am familiar with a great many difficulties people have, what they have suffered, and the nature of things that trouble people. You can tell me about your own difficulties and needs when we first meet. Be assured that people can come with a wide range of difficulties, disabilities or diagnoses. I can see you as an individual, a couple, or as parent with your child.

I can help you explore and work through your particular problems, thoughts, feelings and symptoms in art psychotherapy with me and using art materials, or integrated therapy and counselling if you prefer, in a confidential setting and in the spirit of enabling you to be empowered to have a better life.

If your interest is more your personal development, then therapy can focus on this.

Sooner or later something seems to call us onto a particular path… this is what I must do, this is what I’ve got to have. This is who I am. – James Hillman
